How It All Started
Good Gang Music Factory started with kids. Good Gang Music Factory creator and CEO, Paul Epp, spent years (starting when he was a kid) practicing and studying to become the best musician he could be. His first real experiences working with kids occurred when he began teaching music lessons toward the end of his college years. This was when he first started to realize how important it was for kids to get good ideas early on and how often this responsibility was ignored.
For the next several years Paul continued to pursue his musical dreams, but he kept working with kids, too. He learned from teaching kids that they have an amazing potential to learn and tackle many of their own problems, no matter how bad their lives are. Paul started to think about how he could use his years of musical training and experience along with his experiences working with kids to create something great that could actually help kids.
Paul eventually moved back to Music City, USA (Nashville, Tennessee), where he could pursue his goals as a professional musician and teacher. He sought the help of his friend and fellow musician Charlie Anderson to create a special kind of positive message-driven music for kids. Charlie’s songwriting and vocal skills together with Paul’s writing, arranging and performing skills began what would become Good Gang Music Factory. Working and living in one of the music industry centers of the world led Paul to meet and work with many incredible professional musicians whose efforts helped make Good Gang Music Factory’s first commercial album release, Animal Friends, a reality. Now this masterpiece of musical diversity is making its way to kids and their families everywhere to help reinforce the kinds of life-changing messages that inspire us all.
